Please note: you do not need to be a member of Jindalee Fitness to attend sessions at this venue What is a sound bath meditation? A sound bath meditation is an immersive experience where participants lie down, or remain in a seated position, while the facilitator plays a range of crystal singing bowls. This meditation is typically done in a quiet, low lit or dark room. The facilitator will guide you through a relaxation practice prior to playing the bowls to allow your nervous system to settle. What are the benefits of a sound bath meditation? The sound waves of a sound bath meditation have been found to support individuals to: - Reduce anxiety - Promote better sleeping patterns - Rebalance the nervous system and emotions - Enhance creativity - Bring focus into the present moment - Process emotions, like frustration, stuckness, etc - Reduce stress levels - Connect with your spiritual Self How? We’re working with alpha brain waves. When you enter a state of relaxation by listening to soothing sound it is these particular brain waves that come into more prominent fruition. What to bring? - Yoga mat or blanket - Blanket to cover yourself Optional extras (recommended): - Eye pillow - Pillow and/or bolster - Palm weights - Cushions
